Quick Question: How to count chapters on 2nd disc split?

Just wondering, when you split a dvd-9 to 2 dvd-5's do you just use the remainder of the original count of chapters, or do you use the number that is actually there (including the new chapter one, and that chapter below without a number...)?? Last time i just flipped a coing, and I think it works correctly, but I forgot which one I picked?

open the title set's ifo file.

look under PGC_1 (program chain)
you should have:
[Ch 01]
[Ch 02]
etc.
the last number link this under pgc_1 is the number of chapters. use this number change the "number of chapters" in the video_ts.ifo file.
