Help!. I never had any problems with file support with my VFAPI environmental setting priorities in TMPG ( 2.53). ( In fact , the way they were set up allowed for smooth DVD2SVCD and frameserving from Virtual Dub ) . I had done 45 – 50 DVD2SVCD conversions without any problems. Then , I got one movie which would not convert ; it gave floating decimal pt error in TMPG and a green screen. I played around with the priorities thinking this would help. Eventually , I figured the VOB was corrupted and gave up on this particular one . Ever since, I have not been able to restore the relative priorities in a way which allows DVD2SVCD to run w/o error. Either the .bmp.avs feed to encode the change CD picture gives file unsupported or cannot open error ; or the video encode itself errors. Can anyone please recommend priority settings for the following that work from experience? Many thanks.

Read the FAQ/Q&A and the sticky 'how to make a good post'.
If you correct your first post I'll be sure somebody will help you.

Have read the FAQ. Cannot locate the how to sticky? New to this site. Excuse my egregious error in original post. What were they?

Not the message board FAQ, the DVD2SVCD FAQ, Q&A, and how to post a good question topics. They are all here: http://forum.doom9.org/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=47 - Right up at the top.
You should have already known this by reading the forum rules, as you are instructed to do at the top of every page.

was I supposed to detail non-changing aspects, like the log file, of provide software versions, DVD involved, when my issue was a relative failure of 1 after 50?

Rules are not prejudiced to the likelihood of a problem. I don't care if its 1 out of 20,000,000,000 DVDs that has the problem, you still have to post that stuff. You're not going to get anywhere arguing about it, you're only going to get banned.. and that won't help you at all.

I wasn't trying to argue, only to verify what I actually needed to do to get some help. Sorry for the mess up, and any implied obstinance.

Thank you, and there should be no problems given that you don't do it again :) Now, please post the extra information (log, etc.) that is required for us to help you, and we will be glad to do as such.
