Does anybody know what this TSVC error is?

I get an error when trying to create the bin/cue after finishing with all the menus and stuff. Here is a copy of my log, line in bold is the error:

VCDxBuild finished

The program creates the cue file, but no bin. I'm still very new to adding menus, is this the best program for multiple chapter menus? I've tried I-Author without much luck, that program won't seem to let me make cd-images that are over 70 min? Anybody have some insight?

I think your mpg still menu creation was wrong. try this:

1. delete allthe menu mpg file in the destination dir, also the tscv project file in the tscv progr. dir.
2. prepare the menu pages: all in bmp with the resolution of 704x576(PAL) or 704x480(NTSC)
3. start the tscv clean, select the right type of (s)vcd(PAL or NTSC, vcd 2.0 or svcd 1.0), use add menu to choice all the menu bmps, then the main movie file.
4. author the interactivations normally, create bin/cue and report your resaults here.

With I-Author you must add every chapters menually, calculation every entry point of chapters(the time in seconds) by your self. If you have a DVD like "The Lord of the Ring" witch has 40 chapters you will have to spend perhaps more time as you like.
For I-Author: There is a patch to eliminate the limitation of the image size(74 min).

By the way, the best authoring method for (s)vcd is(witch I've practsed since last mounthes):
1. use TSCV to build menu still images form bmps
2. use VCDEasy to create the basic .xml file with menus and chapters.
3. edit the .xml file (visit www.vcdhelp.com to get more info about authoring vcd with vcdimage/xml)
4. burn the edited .xml file with VCDEasy/Tools/bin-cue-files generation

It seems like VCDxBuild doesn't like "no length" files.
I got that error once. It was one of my still menues. I solved the problem by reencoding the picture, and loading as audio an avs script that looked like this: BlankClip(90). This makes it last about 3 sec.
Everything worked fine afterwards.

I've found what I consider to be a very easy way of doing this. Just Use ChapterExtractor and create a custom format preset like this..

Chapter %c (%hh*3600)+(%mm*60)+%ss=

Now set your windows calculator to scientific notation and copy and paste the line starting with the first ( into it. This calculates the number of seconds for that Chapter's starting point. Now just paste this into I-Author. Ctrl C, Ctrl V...rinse wash repeat.

For the 2nd disk just uncheck all chapters up to that point if your cut point falls directly between chapters, otherwise just calculate the total secs of your first disk and subtract it from your equation such as..

Chapter %c (%hh*3600)+(%mm*60)+%ss-3000=

I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to automate this whole process through keystrokes but I'm too lazy to do that. It works well enough for me as it is. For a movie with 40 chapters it would take me maybe 5 mins to input each chapter time into I-Author.

Of course all this only applies if your source is a dvd.
