Folks,

Out of curiosity, has anyone heard of or read any where about the success or unsuccess of installing the WinXP SP1 update on a pirated copy of WinXP, specifically the Home Edition or Pro edition that used the SADD team activation bypass crack?

Well...

I've used the leaked sp1 for DO release of XP...

Worked fine.. No problems and I was using an "original" key...

Xp had not problems whatsoever...

Although, it killed my fakin 2k install (was dual boot).

started to get a :

\winnt\system32\config\system
File is missing or corrupt.

Soooo... I don't think it was related to the key as much as the leaked sp1 update, but who knows;) all i know is i'm thinking of trying the final release from MS... ;)

As I understand it you just have to make sure you have the "right" CD-key. This probably requires that you reinstall your OS and that you can find the "right" CD-key...
