ReMpeg2: I bit allocation adjustment set at 110%

when ever i load a movie into rempeg2, it defaults the "I" bit allocation adjustment slider to 110%.

any suggestions on leaving it at 110% or moving it to 100%.

been getting slight "tearing" in remeg'd movies...some are fine, others have tearing...all remuxing done using ifoedit .6.

I am also trying to drive ReMPEG2 to its best, I have followed the rempeg2's programmer recommendations about that and I've always leave I adjustment to 110%, but as I am sure you did also, I noticed that in Derrow's guide the I adjust is at 100% , the same as the other ones. Derrow could you bring us some light about that point???

What I have notice is that using "progressive" option, no matter if gradient, full or prediction mode is enabled, I always get some "blur" on the edges of faces and objects in general, maybe my "blur" is what you called "tearing", if I am wrong sorry, hard to distinguish between shapes in other language !! ;)
Since then I always use Match source option, and now that fortunately I own a new XP2000 + :sly: I use the FULL option and this gave me extraordinary results with ReMPEG2 and it takes 8 hours to go more or less so I let computer work all night long , but to be honest I do not notice any expectacular improvement compare to "gradient"&"match source" either. As you already know Chum at R2 signal is PAL so what I've exposed here maybe cannot be applied to NTSC movies, but give it a try.
If you'd like we can ReMPEG same movie in both version PAL and NTSC and then try diferent settings of I allocation adjust and compare&discuss result

i've decided that it's best to leave at 110% (default).

haven't really noticed a "blurring" effect.

also haven't noticed a quality difference between full and gradient.
