I've successfully backed-up the title I mentioned using IFOUpdate 0.53...

it was not as straight forward as it might have been thanks to the audio prob mentioned above.. or one very similar...

details on my workaround are in this thead

@jdobbs

Well, i tried to create the single tracks for the movie: so I have

1st track: only main movie 5.1 AC3 english
2nd track: only main movie 5.1 AC3 french
3rd track: dummy Ac3 5.1
4th track: (wb-logo + trailer 1 + trailer 2) 2.0 Ac3 english

I have inserted the first three directly and the the fourth as a Create Sync Audio track.

Then I tried to recreate the entire DVD and after having IfoUpdated it
what happened? All the audio tracks were available for all the 4 titles that were in my new vob file (WB-logo, Movie, TRAIL1, TRAIL2) when playing the DVD; so when the DVD started (with the initial set of 5.1ch english) the WB-logo had no sound: I had to change manually the audio to the 4th track to listen the music; the same for the trailers.

Well... i tried this: for each playlist it's possible to set its own properties in Maestro: there I can enable or disable some user actions like change audio track, change subtitle and so on...
I tried to set these properties for each of the four Maestro playlists, especially for the audio setting, and now the final result is correct for everything but for the initial WB-logo which is still mute.
So does this mean that the info about the audio for each PGC in also in the VOB and not only in the IFO file?

Any comment?

Bye,
Kim.

Bye,
Kim.

im guessing that the WB logo is also the 'first play'?

might be best to put the audio for the WB logo as audio1, but you should be able to force it to other audio tracks in playlist properties.

servus...

I´ve tested a few movies with multiple PGC like starship troopers and shrek (test are ok).

But ist it possible to change the IFO in this way?

original subtitles.

1. english
2
3
4
5 german

if I move the german subtitle to 5 in DVD maestro, everything works fine.

after IFOUpdate the movie with the original, the subtitle is the second, where no subtitle should be.

ok, by using dummys, this will be done.

But is it Possible to recognise IFOupdate, what subtitle I choose and locate it at the right position?

Hello again!
I've been tested the new version with my 7 PGC movie (remember Ocean's Eleven).
I've found something interested.
In my example there are 6 audiostreams.
2 of them starts at the beginning of the movie (WB LOGO PGC2)
This are the english streams (5.1 and 2.0)
The third language (stream 3) is german.
This stream is shorter than the other two!
The melodie playing with the WB LOGO lost.
This means that the PGC 2, what is the first play, exist only for the first two streams.
When I move the third stream to the beginning of PGC1 (2. chapterpoint) the synchronisation is perfect!
Also the 3 other streams.
This streams are for the three Trailers.
These trailers are at the end of PGC1
They are in PGC 5,6 and 7.
PGC 3 and 4 are empty (only for navigation?)
So I must place the corrosponding audiostreams at the right point in the timeline (chapterpoint).
Then all is perfectly synchron.
What about the subtitles?
I'll test it in the future, but I believe that this is the same!

EDIT!
Oh I must correct me a little bit!
The audiostreams 3,4 and 5 starts all at PGC1 (2. chapterpoint, behind the WB LOGO)
Stream 6 include the audio for all the three trailer.
It must be placed at the chapterpoint the trailers starts.
It goes over 3 PGCs (the three trailers)
The issue are still the same.

All,

If you've run into an error with IFOUpdate in which you get a "Runtime error '9': subscript out of range" look here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?threadid=34861&goto=newpost
) for an explanation and a new version of IFOUpdate.
