Splitting problem with chapter numbers

I've split The Matrix R2 into 2 DVD-R's but I have one problem.
After spliting, I checked VTS_02_0.IFO (that is the .IFO to the film)
and I see that I have [Ch 01] followed by 8 cells, and then, instead of having [Ch 02] I have [Ch 09] (and cell 09). How can I correct this?
This is causing the scene navigation to be wrong.

Well, I got it.
If I go to PTT_SRPTI in the film .ifo (VTS_02_0.IFO in my case)
I can change the PGN, thus correcting the chapters.
But why did Ifoedit changed the chapter since this is the first disc?
I'm using version 0.932.
