why 'unknown file format' error code 8903000 ?
... this is the message I get whenever I try to play my own dvd (on an nashua cdr / arita cdrw) created with Scenarist NT pro 2.6 with PowerDVD 2.55, and on my standalone player (2+ years old) 'unknown disc format'. The latter problem is well-known, I'm familiar with the troubles standalone players have with cdr.
I've burned all possible combinations of cd-r/rw, XP/2k, Nero 5.5.8.2/EasyCD4, Plexwriter/LG (burn), 2x/4x/10x, Toshiba/Lite-on/LG/Philips(read). Haven't tried dvdr/rw yet though.
Strangely, PowerDVD 3.0/4.0 are able to play every disc I've created so far (in any drive) including multiple audio-tracks, animated menus and angles. 4.0 plays nashua/philips-cdrs a bit choppy though.
Scenarist tells me the layout and image are created successfully, but DVDdecrypter 3.1.2 keeps telling me the .dvd-image is invalid, so I decided not to burn any more discs until DVDdecrypter tells me the image put out by Scenarist is valid. There must be a fairly simply solution that i'm missing (option I forgot to check in Scenarist?), so i'm feeling kinda stoopid. Plz help me out! (don't tell me to get DVD Informer :-) Is this an authoring problem or burning?
(BTW I posted this earlier, presumably in the wrong forum, sor)
