Hello :)

I have a DivX 5.0.2 avi that was created with Gordian Knot. However, there was an error during the AC3 --> MP3 stage and the MP3 audio track ended up being only roughly 1/3 as long as it should be.

So I have this avi now that has great picture but a MP3 track that is way too short. I have since re-done the MP3 correctly so I need to remove the current MP3 from the avi so I can now add the corrected MP3

I know how to mux a MP3 to a video only avi but I never had to remove the MP3 track from an avi so any and all help with this would be appreciated :)

You don't have to remove it manually. Just mux it like you normally would and the older audio stream will be overwritten.

Hello :)

Hey, that was so simple ... I didn't think of it!
Actually I did think of it but was afraid it would do something I didn't want, like add the new MP3 audio track as a second track or something like that.

Thanks for the help N_F !

I think I had tried this and it did exactly that ......it put the new one right over top and I went way over my desired filesize. I believe you will have to demux it U could use dvd2avi to do this or um tmpgenc or one of the other kewl tewls!
