Hi guyz,

When i split a dvd in 2 (following the guide) and burning it, it won't play. What are the things i have to change to get it to work.
I read a lot of things but i don't seem to understand it. So please tell me what to look for and what to change.

Thanx in advance.

This is what I do to split a movie. works for me, but maybe not all. I dont get a menu though, just movie, but I like that, 'cause with my changer i can put them side by side and have them auto change to the next disk. anyway.....open your ripped file and look at your vobs. creat a new VIDEO_TS file and move half your vobs to the second file.. KEEP THEM IN ORDER. the first file will have, for instance, VTS_01_1 , VTS_01_2 AND VTS_01_3 Your second file will have, for instance, VTS_01_4 AND VTS_01_5 . Rename them to VTS_01_1 AND VTS_01_2 NOTE: some movies when ripped will not be vts_01_x they may have a larger number such as vts_03_xx. for this method they must be 01 so rename all of them that way if they are not. once you have your 2 files that are renamed, open ifoedit and creat ifos. do this for each of your files by picking the vts_01_1 file and saving the ifos the the same file. once both are done you in essence have 2 movies and treat it as such. after the ifos are created, use the get vts sectors button for each, and let it correct it for you. burn the video ts folder for each movie and your done.

Hmm... Interesting way,but sounds more like cutting than stripping ;)

If you create new IFOs you're loosing all of the original information about streams, subtitles, etc. That's why the split function is implemented to keep everything inside. You can always have 2 disc movie set with no menus using just one step from VOB Extras and modified autorun on second disc.

Your very right about that. My personal main concern is digital picture and digital surround sound, the rest for me is worthless. thats why I said it was not for everyone. But it does work :) and I have pretty much 100% sucess with my movies playing and not being costers LOL plus its very easy. You can even open ifoedit twice and do both files at the same time.
