ok i converted a divx file to v3 and it will get half way through then it will stop playing and it will say unable to donwload the appropriate decompressor but out of 500 clips i only have 2 that does this is there a way i can fix it before i delete them...

I've got another question on a similar subject, so I'l ask it right here instead of making a new thread. I have a file that was encoded in MP4V2, and I need to open it in virtualdub, but it complains that it cant find a filter for that type of file. How can I get whatever I need to fix this?

ms mpeg-4 v3 was made for asf only, and avi is disabled in newer versions of the codec.

ms mpeg-4 v1 and v2 are made for avi, and you have to install DirectX Media, which maybe still on the microsoft directx downloads.
