hi all,
so right now im encoding video in cce, then i take the m2v and ac3 files into maestro and make my dvd. I would like to use Ulead DVD Workshop instead as it has the ability to make nice custom menus etc in an easier fashion than Meastro. However DVD workshop only takes muxed (*.mpg) files as input. So how do I mux the ac3 file with the m2v file to make a *.mpg? I tried bbmpeg but in the MPEG output settings window at the bottom where you enter MAX SIZE if I enter 4700MB it gives me an error and resets the value to 0. Has anyone used this to mux an ac3 with m2v? if so please post some guidelines.
thanks

as far as i know there is no way that u can mux a m2v and an ac3 track to mpg. This kind of muxing produces a vob file.

TMPG's MPEG TOOLS will readily mux your .M2V and .AC3 files to a .MPG file.

looks like bbmpeg works as long as i set the max filesize to 4200mb instead of 4700.

let the max filesize in bbmpeg at 0, this mux your files well, presupposed your partition is ntfs

if I set it to 0 then it gives me lots of errors...I will try it again and see.

When I at home I'll see my other preferences and post it here.
There are some things you must consider.

Here are my preferences

Profile is DVD
Check all boxes expect Add SVCD scan offset
Computed bitrate use max
Timestamps all frames
Forced muxrate is 0
Rest is default
The overlay you can input in the startup delays, but do not chance the 180 ms in the video box!

Good luck!
