i am trying to encode an avi file with ac3 audio with TMPGEnc (DUH!) and when dvd2svcd gets to the part where it encodes the video TMPGEnc opens and in the preview screen it says this:

AVIsource: couldn't locate a decompressor for fourcc divx
(C:movie proggies\DVD2SVCD\movie\AviSynth_Script_file.avs, line 3)

prior to attempting to encode the video i had just installed the Nimo Codec Pack Build 8 and I followed all the installation instructions. Please help

Are you positive that you have the proper divx codec installed? Make sure you have 3, 4, and 5.

Can you play the movie on your comp?

you might have some bad frames in your divx file..i've had this happen before...open up the avi in virtual dub and choose to scan for unreadable frames or something to that effect...also, you can just try moving the the part in tmpeg where it gives that error and see if vdub gives an error..

totally unrelated, but jason...wanna give me one of your spare computers? :)
