Movie coded with xvid go slow

i have 3 movies in xvid format and all of them at all players run slow and there is a delay of 2-3 sec between the picutre and the sound . all the other movies in other format work great .

i also install the latest codec for xvid.

what shell i do next?

Hi there.
Xvid requires quite a fast system to play back smoothly with all the post-processing options enabled - this is the usual reason for loss of audio sync.
The solution depends on what player you are using, so i would suggest that you download 'ffdshow' available from the filters section of doom9's download section. After installing you can configure how it plays back stuff from the 'start - programs - ffdshow' tabs. I would suggest initially switching everything off and see if that cures your probs, you could then try ticking post-processing, presets, automatic quality control and move the slider to minimum (to the left).
