I guess I finally saw the light. For a year now, I have been extolling the wonders of Divx4/5 while dismissing SBC as inferior.
I complained of the "mud trails" left by SBC.

But now I can see, that I was wrong. SBC encoding is sharper and the colors are more VIBRANT and saturated. For me, sharpness is extremely important. I did some side by side comparisons. There is a difference.

MSMPEG4 alters the colors. If you like em more power to ya. But they differ from the DVD. SBC is fine. But if you think it is somehow worlds better than Divx5 then you have not spent much time learning Divx5. Was this an SBC rip you did yourself? Or are you comparing others work to your own?
