Hi,
well I get this message when importing my mpv-file in Spruce.. I know there are threads about that theme already but I couldn't fix the problem till now.
Somebody had success with it by re-encoding the corrupt file with Tmpeg. I tried with CCE (just encode the mpv-file with settings "one pass vbr" again, right?!) but without success.
Isn't there a way to prevent this problem, does anybody know what causes it? I mean I tried on 3 movies and always the same!
Spending three days with it is enough, I think..
Hope you can help me out!
Tantab.

You need to tell us more of what you are trying to do and the steps that you have taken up to the error. The only time that I have had this problem was when a program corrupted my MPEG headers.

I just ripped my dvds with smartripper, made a dvd2avi-project, converted with vfapi and encoded (robshot-method) with cce. A few days ago my system crashed and I had lost all data on my PC. Before that happend one film was nearly ready to burn but now I can't import the same movie in Spruce anymore. And with some other movies it's the same thing.. I'll check my HDs now but I don't think it's their fault because they're just a few days old..
And it's not a time code error, I always payed attention that there are zeros, before encoding.
Thx, Tantab.

No ideas yet? Meanwhile I've tried to re-encode with TMpeg, too, but it gave me an reading error on about 13%.. I watched that scene and you can see there a very short break during playing.
I can't use IfoEdit on the original Smartrip either, it gives me an error, too. Just a very bad rip? But why? Six films on my HD lost? No way to fix it (sobbing! ;) ..)?

I`ve got it!! Tried encoding with TMpeg but with no success.. Then I decided to install XP on my second HD (on the other`s win2k) and now! -it`s working again (before the system crash I had XP,too)! No error message anymore when importing into Spruce!
