It's a start. In my opinion artists can very well make a more than descent buck all by themselves and only with very minimal copyright laws protecting their work. In the media industry all we see less with less opressive laws is very expensive productions but even than, just putting the movie on the bigscreen in most cases allready makes an expensive movie profitable.
Copyright laws should focus on protecting huge investments of corporations in products that serve the "greater good" and should never target the individual.
But even with products that are of big importance to wellfare I wander if we wouldn't be better off just funding devellopment from tax payers money.
