I've ripped a couple of movies using DVDdecrypter to my hard drive. Is there a program that will play the movie from the hard drive. I know how to play individual VOB's using ATI player but what I'd like to do is play the entire movie.

Try the doom9 DVD HD Playback Guide (http://www.doom9.org/mpg/hd-playback.htm).

Hi!
I use PowerDVD 4.0. When you open the SELECT SOURCE menu, there is a option "Play DVD file from Hard Disk Drive".
I rip DVDs with smartripper though.

I ocassionaly use WinDVD. My opinion has more to it that PowerDVD that sometime refuses to play a title set that WinDVD handles perfectly.

@Lame,

Easy,

Just use DVDDecrypter (you could download it from Doom's download page).

Use "Mode" -> "File"
Select all files and ripped them all ;)

Use WinDVD Ver. 4, Source -> DVD from folder browser that ripped
directory, and play the movie!.

You still can choose the subtitle and the audio ;)

Peace!

Hello, after ripping the dvd you can play it using Ifoedit, but you should try http://www.doom9.org/mpg/hd-playback.htm:)

Will the new verision of Cyberlink play dvds from the hard drive? I can only seem to get it to play files so I have no way of checking my chapters, etc.

Not to mention I can't get ifoedit OR nero to give me an ISO, so I can't use that other method either.

DVD Decrypter gives you the ISO, the other programs you mention wont do that.
