I have been learning how to use DVD Maestro from a couple of weeks now, and i know how to use it perfectly, but there are a couple of linking options that i do not know what they mean,

on any menu there is a "Menu1 : GoUp Link", what does this do? can you give an example of what it can be used for

also

on any movie, on all chapters there is "Chapter X : Menu key" what does a menu key do??

all replys appreciated

the chapter menu key setting refers to where the dvd player should go when the user presses the 'menu' key (refered to as root menu also, not to be confused with top menu or title menu).

not sure where you are seeing the menu:goup command, provide a screenshot might help, just remember attachments need to be authorised by a moderator before they appear on the thread.

thanks for the info about menu key, cos ive allways wondered why when i press menu button that it neva does nothing,

well in order to get to the GoUp command you have to go into the menu settings and right click to show advanced properties...
anyone know what this means??

ok, found the GoUp command now, its under the disabled user commands, basically ticking it will not let the user use the 'goup' button.

as for what the goup does...

i have no idea atm, altho powerdvdxp 4.0 has a GoUp button actually, it switches to the A-B repeat button in a video tho...

seems to be 'go back to previous menu' key, well thats what it does on this santana dvd ;)

hope that helps...
