View Full Version : Can Somebody Tell Me What is Going On?????

I am going to become crazy!

I have rempeged several movies and remuxed them (even with ifoedit 0.6, for smoother playback). After this, I make an image with imgtool to then burn with DVD Decrypter. But on several brand cd's (memorex, pioneer, etc), I have had several problems; for example, when i switch to some chapter (usually in the end), the DVD gets blocked. Often, the video pixelates (on branded CD's!) and even though the original video (the original vob files, as seen in PowerDVD) seems to be intact! I even burn to DVD-RW and sometimes they block and don't play nor in my stand alone nor in the pc, in PowerDVD.
Sometimes, I am burning and the process of burning, in DVDDecrypter, stops inmediately (but the Drive seems to continue burning (the led is on)), but DVD Decrypter shows no burning progress.

I also have had some success in backup in some DVD's (a few).

Could DVDDecrypter be the problem?

Could my DVD Unit be damaged?

It seems to be ok to me. Should I use old version software, which I used to use, and never had any problems (pixelation mostly) of the kind?

Could it be that my computer is saturated with other mini apps that windows runs?

I have a P4 2.0 GHz, 512 MB DDR, 80 GB 7200 RPM, Pioneer A-104 Drive, Ati Radeon 7000 Video Card, etc.

Help!!!!!

try to burn such an img file using another program (and the same type of media). If that doesn't work either you can rule out a burning software problem and have to consider hardware problems (I'm assuming that you're watching those movies on a standalone, right?).

Yes, Doom9, on my PC (the original vob files) play well. But sometimes, even the backups do not work well either on the PC or on the stand alone. On the pc, you get to a chapter where the DVD freezes. On the stand alone, it often pixelates and also freezes.

If i use nero, is it as simple as burn from an image? I heard that you have to select/deselect several options such as (Joliete, Mode1, Mode2) something like that, because with the default values (when you choose DVD Video) i think it does not work, or something like that.

Can you tell me what options have to be selected or deselected

Thanks, Doom9.

Download "Daemon Tools", mount your image as a drive and copy from the virtual drive to your dvd burner. Works fine for me.
