i have tried to use aacmachine but after the ac3 got splitted and every ac3 got transcoded the program says its done and all of the tempfiles are deleted.
when backuping up the tempfiles and manually using besweet to merge the aac's i got this:
BeSweet v1.4RC7 by DSPguru.
--------------------------
Using azid.dll v1.8 (b825) by Midas (midas@egon.gyaloglo.hu).
Using hip.dll v1.1 by Myers Carpenter <myers@users.sf.net>

Using lame_enc.dll v1.28 (4/6/2002), Engine 3.92 <http://www.mp3dev.org/>.

1. missing space after "-payload"
2. "Error 75: Unable to get VOBinput.dll interfaces"
download the file. read the faq.

1. ah.. fine now working. didn't know that the cmdline has to be so exact
2. Why isn't this already included?!!?!

suggestions.
1. Include the vobplugin in the aacmachinepackage
2. after completion of task aachmachine should summarize the logfile and show whether there were errors or not.

anyway just my .2 cnets

I'm using AACmachine to transcode 6-channel AAC files from the AC3. I'm assuming that AACmachine uses besplit because a 2-hour uncompressed 6 channel PCM would be entirely too large for most people. The problem I'm having is that AACmachine either does not join the temporary AAC files or that it deletes the final AAC file along with all the temp files. I'm running Norton utilities which can undelete files that work deleted in the CLI. When I open the Norton recovery utilities all of the temporary AAC files are listed as recoverable, but what would be the final output isn't there, nor anywhere else on my hard drive, so i would say that it is a safe assumtion that the final output is never joined before the temp files are deleted.

One other thing that may have caused the problem I did change the thread priority from normal to idle during the encode, because I needed to do some other work. Is there any way to disable the besplit option? because I can't uncheck the boxes next to the BeSplit options. If all else fails I'm just going to use the BeSplitGUI to make the uncompressed pcm and psydrop to encode the AAC.

download vobinput.dll or use AACMachine v0.3

now uses BeSplit v0.81b1 to join the files.
(vobinput.dll isn't needed anymore)

I'm not a programmer, but I love beta testing, using new formats and in ways that no one else has, so of course i'm going to run across bugs, get frustrated, ect. I tried for four days to get 6 channel AAC playing and between Psytel crashes and other difficulties I got really frustrated in the process. I'm sorry if I wasn't as thorough in my research as I could have been or if I have offended anyone in the process. I'm convinced now that I have a fully ISO MP4 compliant movie with 6 channel AAC sound sitting on my hard drive with no player that will play it with sound. Sometimes it sucks to be on the cutting edge, sometimes it feels pretty good. I have and will continue to be a proponent of DSPGuru's software, and if any of you have a solution as to where I should proceed from here let me know. My ultimate goal is to have a broadband stream, that's fully ISO MP4 compliant with 6 channel audio and at least SVCD resolution.
