Hello everyone, I have read all about how to make exact copies of single density DVDs. Also how to break up the files and make copies of double density DVDs onto 2 DVD+R discs. However, I have several DVDs that contain half hr episodes of a TV show. There are about 11 of these half hr shows on each of my 5 disc set. Each episode is on a .VOB file that is between 680,000 and 700,000 KB each. I have checked the .VOB files of the episodes, they contain the entire episodes, none of the .VOB files are broken into 2 files. My question is, is there any way to create a DVD disc that can contain 5 of these .VOB files and that will play the episodes on a regular DVD player with no problems? Obviously I would lose the menus, but I don't really want the menus, just the complete episodes. Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

u can follow the guide of joining up vob files to a new vts set and making new navigation pointers at http://www.doom9.org/mpg/ifoedit-basic.htm and the similar guides at this section or even better at Derrow's site http://mpucoder.kewlhair.com/derrow/index.html
I suggest to follow the relative threads at Ifoedit forum in this site.
As a last resort u can use SpruceUp to do a very simple re-authoring of your vobs. It has more fun and probs to solve but u can gain more.
Doom9 has a guide on SpruceUp in DVD section of guides.

Man! After reading everything, and realizing how much hard work is needed to re-author .VOB files, I've come to the conclusion that I'm best off just getting a Sampo 631CF DVD player and upgrading the firmware so it can play .VOB files. It's so much easier to just strip a DVD, then drag the .VOB files you want to a DVD+R/RW or DVD-R/RW disc, than it is to re-author a whole DVD (I read the procedure about 20 times, and it still couldn't sink in :(). I can't believe there isn't an easier program out there that would simply allow you to drag .vob files to a folder, then have the program create a playable DVD disc video for us. If anyone knows of such a simple drag and drop DVD creator, please let me know! Thanks.
