I'm creating the DVD from the DV tape using DVDMaestro.
I created the FirstPlay movie - something similar to "FBI Warning" (set in Connections / First Play). I also created the set of menus. My "Main Menu" is set in Connections / Title Menu.
After pressing on "Play", the FirstPlay movie starts, but the Title Menu doesn't follow! The movie just stops when the FirstPlay is done!
When I press on "Menu" on my player, I can choose the "Title Menu" and I can controll my viewing from here (submenus, scene selections etc). It just doesn't automatically go to my Main Menu!

Any ideas?

I had a similar thing. On your first play movie set a chapter point at the end (If you first play movie is 10 seconds long set a chapter point at 10 seconds and call it "first play end") then in connections go to "first play end action" and set it to go to your menu....or movie if you wish. If you cant see "first play end action" then click on connections tab then click on "movies" in the left hand pane.

Hope this is not too confusing its difficult to put into words.

Well,

if your 1st play is a movie, there is no need to create a chapter point anywhere. Every movie has a default chapter point at start. Just use the first play end action" and set it to jump to your menu.

If your 1st play is a menu, then set it to timeout 0 and in connections set the timeout destination. You should reveal the advanced connections settings by right-clicking on them and selecting.

Altenative you can set an invisible button of immediate action to navigate where you want to go.

Just an advice: Many settop palyers just skip the 1st thing that is sent to play. Allways use a dummy 1 sec black movie or menu as a 1st play and then continue from there.

Bodman, oddyseus - THANKS!

"First Play's" End-Action was the key!
