Possible to reuse .log file for two pass encoding ?

To most of you this might seem like a stupid question but it's been only a few days since I first tried two pass encoding (now that I have the computer power to do it in a reasonable time) and I don't know much about it.

Well I tried two pass encoding to encode Lord of the Rings with Xmpeg. When it finished I realised that I forgot to change the values in the audio player and the sound volume was too low. Can I reuse the log files that first pass created ? I mean, can I do a two pass encoding again with these log files enabling ONLY second pass ?

Yes, as long as you use the exact same settings for the video part you can use the log file again for a new 2nd pass.

You could also encode the audio again and mux it with your video, without re-encoding the video at all. Not with XMPEG, however (at least I don't think it's possible because XMPEG does all in one and doesn't save the AC3 soundtrack seperately, right?)

You can use VirtualDub to re encode the audio and remux with the video.
