just got something with this coding
S-Mpeg 4 version 3
windows media player downloads a codec that does not play it!!!

where can i find the correct codec???

please help!

It if for play MS MPEG4 download ffdshow and install it, download at http://cutka.szm.sk/ffdshow/ or search in this forum for a newer no oficial build.

You can also change its FourCC to 'DIV3' with AVI FourCC Changer (AviC) tool and play it fine with any DivX CODEC.

That video was probably encoded with a beta version of the MSMPEG4 V3 CODEC, when it still worked on AVI. M$ later locked it to push the ASF/WMV video format.
