using DVD decrypter, but the directions from the guide say you must have a DVD that is under 4,718,592,000 bytes, but there are few DVD's now a day that are that size. Can some one give advice on how I can practice and be proficient at burning with these bench marks? I hope I get some good feed back, my other questions have been answered with some irritation, but I'm sure some of you remember what being a newbie was like. Thank you

I looked over your posts. You received two replies to your question, which was, I think, "What do I do next?" One reply sent you to Doom9's guides -- the very general first page, the other reply sent you to a very specific guide for CCE.
Well, I'm going to try something else -- send you to a fairly top-level guide, but further down then just the first page. Instead, I'll suggest you click on DVD and miniDVD Guide (http://www.doom9.org/mpg/dvdr-guides.htm).
Note that there are a whole host of DVD-R guides in there, organized three ways:
Authoring guides Encoding guides IfoEdit guides
There are probably three guides on that page which would be a good start. The first is in the IfoEdit secton:Basic Guide - last updated 03/01/02
Explains how you reduce the size of a DVD to 4.7GB by stripping unwanted extras, audio streams, subtitle streams and transcoding the video stream and making the disc regionfree.and this one is in the authoring section:DVD-9 to DVD-5 "full copy" instructions - last updated 07/21/02
How to re-create single PGC movies using CCE & DVDMaestro, written by TrilightLastly, at the end of August, Doom9's news mentioned that he just updated the following guide. The update is so new, the date of update isn't even in the DVD and miniDVD Guide page, which still reads:
Copying a DVD-9 to 2 DVD-Rs - last updated 03/09/02
How to create 2 single layer DVDs from a dual layer discSorry you've had difficulty finding these step-by-step instructions.
