MPEG 5.1? Does it really work?

i just downloaded the new version of DVD2SVCD and just noticed the mpeg5.1. i remember posting a topic asking about 5.1 surround and many have told me that it's impossible to get the discrete sound. And now i'm amazed that someone has figured it out. But the question is does it really work? will it only work with certian dvd players? where can i find more info on this ?

Of course it works, it's very unlikely a feature would be released that doesn't work... You can find out more by doing a search, which you should have already done.

Like UltimateDBZ said it works. It only works with a very small percentage of DVD players. I am pretty sure that its only the Phillips DVD and only some of them. As for the models that do work I dont know, you will have to experiment to see if you can get it to work with yours.
