Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, I don't know where else to.
In Adobe Premiere, I make all my motion menus with. but lately, it won't let me import .jpeg/.jpg files anymore. It will only let me import Bitmap picture files, and I can't set transparencies on that.
My computer just crashed, so I had to reinstall the trial version, so I'm running the trial and that may be the problem (I can't figure out where I can enter the serial number for it) but how can I get it to accept my .jpg pictures, and where can I regiaster it to the full ??

never worked with Premiere, sor, but the registering of it must be kinda universal: isn't there an extra dir in your setup-cdrom with a certain 'substitute' .exe?
Also are you sure there isn't an option 'register' when in the program you go to the 'tools' or 'help' menu? I guess you have tried that already

the key for premiere should be entered when you install, not sure if the trial version asks for the key, but the full install refuses to continue without the key.
possibly the trial version doesnt include the jpg import file (im_jpg) check the plugins dir for similar files.

Never mind, I got the full version of Premiere now. I wasn't doing something right.
BUT, it still won't let me import .jpeg files. It did this once before, but I forgot how to stop it. It isn't because it's a trial, I know that. Because I have the full version now.
Anyone help pleeeeeease ?!

Nope, limitation of trial-version is time only (30 days).
Your problem is something else, i would say it's premiere itself.
Plus, where do ur jpeg come from? photoshop, illustrator, quark....
Maybe u need to check jpeg's settings.
Anyway u still can try tga :)

Why would you want to import .jpgs anyway ? Seems like a slight misuse of a file format, .jpg being a compressed file.
A 32 bit TARGA (esay conversion in Photoshop or what have you )has got to be better. This also enables real time playback on the RT2000/2500 because the 32 bit version of the file includes an Alpha channel.
Kinda curious why you wanted to use .jpgs...

JPEG's are used because that's what I always have used, and Premiere used to let me use transparencies with JPEG's.
I use Corel Print House to make the Photo's, but I have over 300 images from ALL over the web stored on a certain folder, and when I go there under the import box in Premiere only the Bitmap pictures will show up, so I tired typing manually 'esca14.jpg' or whatever and it sould say it isn't supported.
