Lords of The Rings DVD PAL - How To

After all the problems that I have had in order to carry this DVD on a DVD-R I have post this thread in order to help all those that have had same the my problem.
Rip all DVD with DVD Decrypter, strip any language (not subtitles, a lot of space for this)that you don't need.
After that, use Rempeg to resize video stream. Set to 62% the scale to fit into one DVD-R.
Use IFOEdit 0.6 in order to carry out the remux (because 0.8x and 0.9x don't remux well, putting into the video stream short pause every 2 second) and remeber to save VTS_01_0.IFO and .BUP because IFOEdit 0.6 don't save it automatically.
After that, take allo VTS_01_x set and VTS_02_x set and put them into VIDEO_TS folder, use IFOEdit 0.9x to create image file.
Burn all with PrimoDVD (or what you want) and that's all, you have a complete (with menu) LOTR DVD-R !

PS Rempeg quality don't is the best, but the video stream is acceptable.

PSS Someone report that ORIGINAL version of DVD can't play on Playstation2 (stop on capter 26, probably on layer change), obviously on DVD-R there is NO layer change! :D

i did lotr pal too.
i kept french subs and 2 audios streams : fr and us.

this how i proceedeed :

i backuped it with smartripper.
extracted all needed materials (bmp & audios) with dvd2avi.
i encoded with cce+avisynth+d2v (took me about 3 hours).
i used quantization factor = 40.
(30 if you only want to keep one audio stream)

reauthored it with dvdmaestro (i love this program!!!)

the result?
quality is absolutely awesome (no loss at all) and i got multiple audios and streams ! :D :D
plus original interactive menus ! (i had a hard time with subpictures tough ...)

to me,rempeg is nice if dont go lower than 80%.
after that you really notice a deprecation in video quality.
it is slow for sure but it is easy to remux if you dont want to bother with reauthor.
