Any simple way to set a subpicture as default??? (ENABLED without any menu or button selection)
Thank you in advance.

I am also wondering this.
For instance, how would you reproduce the subtitle stream in Phantom Menace for 'alien' speak?

Sorry for insisting, but this way (I think) I will not have the option to turn them off and on at will. Additionally I do not know of an easy way to select ALL subtitles in Scenarist and manipulate some properties globally.
But let me explain once more.
Let's say that I have a movie with one subtitle set. Right now I put the DVD in the tray, press play and the movie starts without subtitles. I have to manually select the desired subtitle (in my case the only one).
What I have in mind, is to start playing the movie and the subtitles to be ON by default. Furthermore, should I wish, I would like to be able to turn them off at will.
Hope that this clarifies what I have in mind. To be frank I am not even sure if this is possible. While writing this reply it just occured to me that I might have the same effect by adjusting my player, that is, by setting the default subtitle on the standalone. I will check as soon as I get home.
Hope that someone can help

1st of all your name is Greek and my guess is from Dodekanissa. Correct me if I am wrong.
2ndly after reading again your initial question I understood your clarification.
3d u r right. U should set up your dvd player to autoselect the subtitles by selecting the default subs option.
PS. if u leave in athens we may have a chat over phone.

I got home, I checked, and yes.... It works. The easy way is to setup the standalone to automatically select the desired sutitle.
Warm regards again from (the not so warm these days) Hellas

I'm not familiar with Scenarist, but in Maestro there is an option for intitial stream setting.
I tried it and it also works, if in the menu of the standalone player subs are set to "off".
I think this option should also be available somewhere in scenarist.
