I have a pioneer a03 with firmware 1.80 and bought some discs from meritline. When I put the discs in the drive they take about a minute and seem like they are ready to burn to. I have tried many different burning programs and just when I start to burn the tray pops open with various errors depending on what burning or authoring program I use. I can only assume that it is a media error, but then why does it recognize the disc to begin with.
the discs I used are two seperate 50 bundles from meritline (they suck ass) and get the same response.

what dvd-r's are compatible with the dvr-a03 and that will play flawlessly in ps2?
