Sorry to start a new thread, I know that there are a few regarding this new software, but I wanted the Subject to show a warning.
Be very afraid of this new software as it is no good and is likely to mess up your Ifoedit.
1. It does not truely back up a DVD9 - DVD5. It just transcodes the film only. You can only process 1 x Title & 1 x Audio Stream i.e. no extras or menu.
2. It takes far longer to trancode than the programmes we use now. I don't Transcode because it takes me about 24Hrs (PIII 650 MHz). I stopped this program after 18.5 Hours when it had done 50% of a 5.5 Gb film.
3. The automatic bit rate calculation is not all it seems - this test was going to convert a 5.5 Gb film into 1.65 Gb.
4. The VOB software completely messes up Ifoedit. I gave up on it and went to go back to the good old ways . Ifoedit would not work at all and would not even do DVD Play. I uninstalled VOB cd/dvd 6.5 with all my toes & fingers crossed and Yipppeeee - back to normal business.

So my message is be afraid, be very afraid. What seems like a gift from Heaven is really a nightmare from Hell:devil:

I have put this in the DVD Burning Forum because I assume that the software is predominantly a burning software ?????

Happy Ripping - the good old ways:D

hehe.. you didn't really think they created a full blown backup program? The MPAA would sue the living daylights out of the company and nobody could really use it. Imagine a screen where you can select each PGC, select the bitrate, select which audio streams you don't want, etc etc.

Unlike with version 6.0 only, windows still boots if I upgrade to 6.5 directly after installing version 6.0!

Hmm...now thats sounds great....why couldn't we come up witha prgram like that.....all the programmers of ifoedit and subrip ..and others should come together to create a one button backup programe:)....that would be nice.. (prefereably with cce encoding:) heheh
