Hey doom9 forum readers,

This was posted earlier by Akuma http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=27855&highlight=time+code+scenarist There weren't any replies to the problem. I'm experiencing the same probem at the moment. I import a m2v into scenarist and the start time of the movie automatically changes to 01:00:01;00. How can this be changed into the proper 00:00:00;00 ? When selecting the track in the track editor, a timecode is visible at the top of the screen, changing it has no effect; scenarist changes it back to what it was...

Anyone an idea?

Thanx

Did you re-encode your ripped VOB MPEG2 using Cinemacraft? If you did, then you may have neglected to reset the timecode setting in the encoder settings dialogue - for some really annoying reason, CCE invariably defaults AWAY from a "zero" setting.

I think I may have found the cause of the problem. The problem only seems to occur when using 'demux to new file' from within smartripper or dvddecrypter. I wanted to rip the moviestream out of the vobs without having to re-encode them, this resulted in a different timecode for the starting time. Each time I demuxed, I had a different timecode. So as a solution I just use ifoedit now to strip the unnecessary streams out instead of the ones I want like I did with smartripper.

I have met this issue too. I proceeded that way: after getting video and audio to the Data, I exported scenario to .scp and there corrected the time to 00:00:00 with text editor (it is better to save scenario under new name after editing). If you than choose "New from script" and point the edited script, everything is OK afterwards.
