Hallo everyone,

I have little problem with final output in DVD Maestro.
I made copy of StarWars DVD, with ReMPEG (because I wanted to write it to DVD-R) but final output is flashing.
And therefore I used this way:

1) I ripped apart video and audio from DVD to HDD.
2) After I riped subtitles which I wanted by SubRip.
3) I made *avi of MPEG rip with DVD2AVI.
4) This *avi I encoded (only video) in TMPGEnc.
5) I used DVDMaestro to compilate DVD.

But there is my problem, my final DVD-R had wrong aspect ratio (no 16/9),but when I play my final TMPGEnc video only on PowerDVD pictures is OK, there is aspect ratio OK.

I dont know where is my problem, can anyone help me??
Thanks Vanda

you need to make sure you set the aspect ratio in Maestro to 4:3 now that you encoded in TMPG, you can't set it to 16:9. This is true if you had the aspect ratio set right in TMPG of course, and if it looks ok in Power DVD it sounds like you set it right

Hey there.

Can you tell me where I can buy DVD Maestro?

In which store, or in which web page can I search for prices?

I have not been able to find any info to buy this sotware!

I have it. :)

I dont know how, but I dont see this set (aspect ratio)when I worked with DVDMaestro befor 2 month. Maybe I was tired. :p

Now is OK.

Thanks Vanda

P.S. Sorry that I wasting your time but I have realy last question.
This question is about subtitle. My problem is it, that when I made *BMPs for DVDMaestro with MaestroSBT, I have dialog in one line.

For example: When I rip subtitle with SubRip and I will get *srt file where is dialog OK.

for example:

- My lord
- Yes

After I convert it to *SSA in SubAdjust (for use in MaestroSBT), but in this final *ssa file I have dialog in one line

for example:

- My lord - Yes

Have you some idea?

Many thanks Vanda

maestro is discontinued, but if u could afford a $40000 piece of software hardware combination I am sure that an authoring house wanting to upgrade to something else could sell their equipment.

to vandas :
you dont need to go thru the tedious process : subrip -> subadjust -< maestrosbt. (ocr in a pain in the ass!)

i myself use subrip to generate .son (dvdmaestro subs) straight away.
that way, you use orginal subtitles bitmaps .
the palette can be tough to set the 1st time.

maybe the dvdmaestro guide needs to be updated about this part.
