Yes TRILIGHT
I think you're the first option because i've followed your guide only changing the CCE phase because i use dvd2svcd roba option to encode automatically my DVD and then i receive a puldownvideo ready to be inserted into maestro, but when i import the subs they are always desynced, so i delete the pulldown from maestro and take my cce_encoded_video by dvd2svcd(not the pulldowned) and do the 2 pulldown process you recommend in the guide, everything is just fine but the subs are always desynced, what could be the problem???
Any other suiggestion?

your pulldown Mpv file should show as shorter duration when imported in Maestro than the DVD2SVCD "cce_encoded_video.mpv" - Is that the case ? If it shows as the same duration, you are not using the correct command line for pulldown. If it does show a shorter duration, you should not have any problems.. Drag the newly created pulldown file onto the timeline, (reset the clock if needed) , import your subs, then replace the video file with the cce_encoded_video file. This method has worked for me many times.

It's possible that you are having a problem with pulldown and its switches. When I tried it like Trilight's guide had it, Pulldown project.mpv output-drop.m2v –prog_frames p –drop_frame true, it would run pulldown but would not show it as setting drop_frame. I tried it as Pulldown project.mpv output-drop.m2v –drop_frame true –prog_frames p and it worked like a charm. I added this information to the Trilight guide thread, but Trilight hasn't amended his guide to reflect this needed change. For the record, I'm using an AMD cpu and use WinXP. Good luck, dvdRENEGADE

Thanks for that post, I couldn't figure that one out either. My two filesizes were the same, and the timeline identical as well. I'll give the reversed input a shot...

Strange. I've never noticed that anomaly when using the switches. I'll have to check the version of pulldown.exe I am using. I can only imagine we are using two different versions and the one you have does not allow switches in a certain order (though I can't imagine why). Can you please post the version of pulldown.exe you are using and where you got it from so we can all compare the differences? Thanks!

Sorry about that..... After posting this I found that I was using pulldown .99c and the drop_frames tag was not added until .99d. I used .99d and it worked like a champ.
Coincidentally, I also re-cce'd an interlaced vob (through dvd2avi) that I used "forced film", checked the bitrate of the avi at 23.97, and did NOT check the "progressive frames" box in CCE. This resulted in a 29.97 m2v file, so I had to use the "nopulldown" option in pulldown (kind of redundant, but I still needed drop_frames). Is my not checking the "progressive frames" box in CCE the reason it took the bitrate back up to 29.97? I was very confused. I may still be...
