Fly Video 3000

hello


does anyone out there have this cap card?

and if so, do you run 3rd party cap software with it?
and if you can can you please explain what you do to be able to do this, and also what OS you are running.(i have XP Pro)

i recently bought this card influenced by reviews in several PC mags, and am now positively draw to the conclusion that Life Veiw must be paying them well.

it is an incompatible , supportless peice of shit.

i have tried the reg patches to enable WDM and applied the drivers by EDUARDO JOSE TAGLE but have had only very limited success.

hehe, a friend of mine bought the same tv card and after 2 days he brought it back. Native software doesn't even allow you to select a compression codec and AFAIK vdub doesn't support this card, so don't lose the time, bring it back and get a tv card with brooktree chip.

Have to totally agree and as for support I think that is just a figment of the companys imagination as they must have a policy of not replying to any emails apart the ones they send each other,go out and get a different card and hopefully you will get where you want to be.

VirtualVCR http://www.digtv.ws/ and ATV2000 http://mikecrash.wz.cz/
both applications working good

I also have XP Pro. I use the latest Driver from Elta http://www.elta.de/de/download.asp?art=treiber&kat=TV-/Videokarten&artnr=8681%20LV
but i cant't switch to channel 02 (ARD here in Germany) and the sound is always mono :-((

??? these drivers are only for BT-Chipsets and the Fly Video has a Phillips-Chipset.

Petgun i have used ATV2000 and i too liked it, but i couldn't get it to capture for me. maybe i overlooked something in the setup, but i never managed to get it to capture for me ( tuner,s-vid, or composite)

i haven't yet tried VirtualVCR , i'll give it a try when i get a moments free time

yeah, i just gave them a try (a stab in the dark ;) it does list the previous flyvideo cards in its supported list... i was/am desperate to get it up and running

what good is a new too if it doesn't work :o)

i did find that it did help after applying those drivers. b4 i applied them i could not get VirtualDub to recorgnise that i had a capt card. however after applying, even though i could view what was incoming on the cap card, i still could not capture.
virtual dub could not recognise that there was any data input from the card. ( BTW the last thing viewed was what was seen in VDub....if i last whatched TV on channel X , that is what would be viewed in VDub)
