What is your question? How you can mux an ac3 stream with an avi?
Use virtualdub-ac3 for example (with interleave of 60 ms).
I have a lot of divx5 avis with ac3 sound at home working great!

A different question was being asked, which, I think, was "What is this strange software I see offered on these sites that I don't see offered at www.divx.com?"
Using that secret button at the top of every window in Doom9's forum, I found these two other threads:

I don't get it. Why do people keep bringing this up??
No warez.

It is not advertising warez. Ppl just want to know what the diferrence is...:o
Anyway- it is in a matter of fact completely cracked version of 5.02 Pro codec build 481 that doesn't require any activation.
It comes with old Fraunhoffer radius MP3 codec and old WinDVD iviaudio.ax AC3 playback filter as well as mpeg2parser filter.
The problem is that Fraunhoffer-Radius codec is very old and of worse quality than Lame ACM so you'll have to deactivate it later in controll panel.
Intervideo AC3 filter is rather old and haven't played anything on my 5.1 system- it only works in 2 speaker mode or SPDIF bypass. However if you have new WinDVD4 installed and reged on your system you can take it's iviaudio.ax and put it in the "Corporate edition" directory prior to installation so it goes installed. After this one I could get all the AC3 play options when looking Avi coded with AC3.
Anyway- I didn't make that pack so I am not sure what else might be "lurking" inside of it or if there are some backdoors getting installed or something like that...
So I hope this section mod can now be happy because no one endorsed warez and after this explanation I think there will be no more questions regarding "Corporate edition". :D :D :D

= warez
The legal versions are:
1- "lite" .i.e DivX5 codec without Pro features
2- "adware" .i.e DivX5 with Pro features, also with adware to balance this
3- "pay version" i.e. DivX5 with Pro features, without ads but you pay $30,-
Anything else = warez
So I hope this section mod can now be happy because no one endorsed warez and after this explanation I think there will be no more questions regarding "Corporate edition".You haven't convinced me just yet (unless you were trying to say this package contains the adware version...).
Ps. The links that were given pointed to posts where that actual package could be obtained, that's why they were removed.

Technicaly yes but if you want to take it totally legal this info is technicaly also warez http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=19583 :sly:
Anyway I don't want to discuss what is warez and what's not I was merely trying to provide some info on that package and answer some questions... But hey you're the mod here so you can also lock this thread if you want especialy now that question has been answered. ;)

@Acaila
I inadvertantly forced you to edit one of my posts, in order to remove links to a couple of other posts on the forum.
I didn't think far enough ahead, that those posts had inappropriate links.
----
I was trying to make 2 points.
a) People need to ask questions clearly.
and
b) People will discover that the search button works, if they use it.
I'm sorry. :eek:

@lighty:
Sorry, but I must disagree again :)
Doom9's post is not warez, because it doesn't change the program itself, nor changes it permanently. The files you download are completely legal, you then take measures on your own machine to get rid of the annoyances(=ads). These measures have to be repeated by everyone individually (and can only be done after having installed the original product).
Even the Hacker's Dictionary says this about warez: "cracked version of commercial software, that is versions from which copy-protection has been stripped"
@jggimi:
I know you just provided indirect links, that's why I only removed them and did not strike you ;).
You've been around here long enough that I know you are aware of the rules, and I assumed you didn't actually mean to link to any warez.
If anyone else has any comments regarding warez, please post now as this thread will soon be locked.

No real comments here. Definitions are not as clear as one would think but- hey- that's matter of personal opinion. Forum's politics is something else and you're the one who sets it out as mod. You were also instructed how to enforce it by admins so I guess that every member should stick to it. :cool:
