I read somehwre that it can be possible to burn Dvd-Rs using a CD-r, by manipulating the Cd-r. Anyone else heard anything about it?

do a search for miniDVD or cDVD or DVDonCD

but basically, 99% of standalone dvd players dont play it.

I'm talking about inserting a Dvd'r into a CD'rw and burning.. Is that what you're talking about too?.

If so, tell me where to find more info about that stuff.

It's not possible. If you see programs saying "Copy your DVDs using regular CD-R media" they are scams. They are usually taking about VCD/SVCD.

If your talking about using a CD-RW drive to burn DVD media (-RAM,-/+R,-/+RW, ect), it is not possible. They don't have the necessary hardware.
