Hello !

I would just like to know the following :

what do you guys use to encode plain and simple
MPEG-1 files to DivX 3 with 2-pass encoding ?

I so far used GordianKnot for all my encodings ,
but it doesnt accept MPEG-1 video .

And configuring NanDub is a rather hard thing to do .
Of most of the options, I don't even know what they mean .
I liked GKnot so much (among other things) cause it had
the best config already in it .

So please reply if anything comes to mind .

Jan .

@JazzMC

Since you are converting from MPEG-1 (not from DVD) to DivX, which means already accepting quality loss, you can well do a 1pass constant bitrate encode using a low bitrate in VirtualDub rather than 2pass imho.

If you want 2pass, you should use Nandub, but I think it is unnecessary for MPEG-1 -> DivX conversion.
