Hi post mmembers,

I am having issues burning dvd's on my pioneer 104a dvd burner.
I get all the way to the burning of the dvd and the final product so far has been coasters. The discs contain readable vob files and can be transfered to HD. But they will not play as reg DVD. So here is what is killing me. Let me use "Resident Evil" as example.

1. I decrypt the dvd in dvd decrypter. reducing the uneeded streams as to reduce the size of the dvd to fit on dvd-r for backup purposes.

2. Then I play the files off my hard drive on PowerDVD with no problem.

3. This is where it gets hairy, I've tried ifo edit to create in iso or img of the video I have but the disc images it has been burning only contain Video_TS no actual VOB movie files. So this is beyond me? tried using guide still makes no sense.

4.So burning with RecordNow DX I take my imaged Video_TS files and the movies vob files and burn them to Princo discs. When I go to play them I get unsupported format disc.

5. Now I have tried creating an iso/ img file in RecordNow, and it does create an image that contains all Video_TS and vob. but the program will not burn an individual program of that iso because it is to big.

So this is where I stand. I need help I have had the burner for three weeks and still no good copies. From what I have read the burner seems to burn un formatted DVD's just fine and the Princo DVDs seem to work for other people. So I believe I am screwing something up and it is beyond me.

Basically the first person to successfully send me working dvd-r burning instructions, I will personally burn you 8 dvd backup copies of some popular movies and send them to you in the mail. This is a first come first serve offer. I will post when I have it figured out thanks. ::D

I had a similar problem that "manifested" itself after many succesful burns> And I stumled across the solution.

Sorry burn dog1, but I had to give you one strike for your offering. This forum cannot remain open and still support postings where people offer to mail others illegal copies of dvdrs. We stay online because we do not allow postings of this nature. Please continue to post, but the bargaining system has got to go! Thanks.

Just do the movie then. I for one couldn't care less about some time consuming show-off menu.

Let's say you have the m2v-track and all ac3-tracks you want included, simply AUTHOR it in Maestro (simple as pie) or scenarist (mish-mash). They're gonna produce some vobs for you to burn in Nero (5.5.7.x and above to be sure) under the ISO/UDF - template for DVDs.

SpruceUp is free for two exports, but has also been discontinued. I'm pretty sure it does AC3. Allthough I think, not multi-track.

cheers

Hello, if nothing else works, try do just the main movie. Rip the dvd and work with Ifoedit. It will create you all you need ( Video_ts and Ifo_ts and Vob_ts ). Follow the guide: http://mpucoder.kewlhair.com/Derrow/create.html
and donīt forget to " Get Vtssectors " at the end.
Thatīs right, Spruce up does only support one track Ac3 and no subtitles.
