GDI! I installed the REALMagic MPEG-4 Codec just for laughs. (I knew it couldn't be much.) I was right, it sucked and had absolutely no options or freedom whatsoever. (How on earth did they get this from Xvid?) Anyways, after I had my kicks, I realized it didn't come with an unistall! Not in the Start Menu, Add/Remove, or the directory the files are in. I'm practically screwed. Anyone know of a way to completely unistall this crap codec? (Any links that tell you how to do this perhaps?)
Thanks,

Go to the system steering / Multimedia / Devices. Double klick on the realMagic codec and press delete.

If you're talking about the Device Manager, then no. It just comes back after I "remove" it. As for system steering, I don't exactly know what you're talking about. How would I go about to "system steering"?

It`s control panel in win98.
Go to multimedia-->devices-->video compression codecs

Sorry, I forgot to mention. I'm on Windows XP. I tried removing it through the control panel, but it just reappears everytime. If there's even a patch that'll unistall it, I'll take that too.

You can do it manually, Delete dsrmp4.dll and rmp4.dll in the system32 dir .
And this is for the reg files : delete all entries
[RMP4.AddReg]
[RMP4.AddReg9x]
HKLM,SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\MediaResources\icm\vidc.RMP4,Description,,%RMP4%
HKLM,SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\MediaResources\icm\vidc.RMP4,Driver,,rmp4.dll
HKLM,SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\MediaResources\icm\vidc.RMP4,FriendlyName,,"RMP4"
HKLM,%UnInstallPath%,DisplayName,,%UninstallDispName%
HKLM,%UnInstallPath%,UninstallString,,"%10%\rundll.exe setupx.dll,InstallHinfSection RMP4_Remove 132 %17%\%InfFile%"
[RMP4.AddRegNT]
HKLM,SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\drivers.desc,rmp4.dll,,%RMP4%
HKLM,SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\drivers32,vidc.RMP4,,rmp4.dll
HKLM,%UnInstallPath%,DisplayName,,%UninstallDispName%
HKLM,%UnInstallPath%,UninstallString,,"%11%\rundll32.exe setupapi,InstallHinfSection RMP4_Remove 132 %17%\%InfFile%"
[RMP4.DoReg]
HKLM,"Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce",RMP4V,,"%11%\regsvr32.exe /s %11%\dsrmp4.dll"
[RMP4.DelReg]
HKLM,SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\MediaResources\icm\vidc.RMP4
HKLM,SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\drivers.desc,rmp4.dll,,""
HKLM,%UnInstallPath%
[RMP4.Unreg]
HKLM,"Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce",RMP4V,,"%11%\regsvr32.exe /s /u %11%\dsrmp4.dll"
