Hi,
today I make the copy of movie 'The deer hunter' (3 hours playtime).
I have problem.
First part of this movie is decent noisy and second part of movie is strongly, granularly noisy (spacial or temporal filters are powerless :-(.
I test 1st pass (640x272 px cropped, h263 quant) and compressibility is 36% (2x700MB).
Its too little (I know), I so use 3 CD well...
But when I use 'modulated' quant and AltCC, codec take too much bitrate from first part with decent noisy (and devalues it) and get this lot of bitrate to second, noised pass...
Hmmm. But I want (contrariwise) reduce bitrate in noised part (in order to reduce of noise)...
What to do about it?
Question1: Is correct using of 'mudulated' quant at noisy videos???
Question2: Is correct for noisy videos compressibility at 60% or better get lower (lower quant)?
Thanks
