Has anyone backed up this movie? I'm trying to keep the main menus, main movie and 1 audio stream. This is a Disney movie so its original dvd structure is difficult to follow. It contains the following:
VTS_01 - main movie
VTS_02 - Atlantis preview
VTS_03 - Dir's commentary
VTS_04 - Deleted scenes
VTS_05 - Movie trailer
VTS_06 - THX logo

I would like to get rid of the *.vob files from the non-main movie vts sets but when I try it gives me errors (in IFOEdit - DVD Play). Does anyone know how to set it up so that when the dvd starts, it goes right to the main menu? Thanks.

For myself, when i have a complex dvd title, i prefer to fully re-author it.

I extract subtitles and subpictures of menus with subrip, demux by cells vob0 with menus with VobEdit, demux ac3 and m2v for every cell I need with vobedit.
I use windvd to make screen capture to be used as still in menus.

Then DVD2avi project used in CCE with avisynth, with chapters in ecl file from chapterXtractor, usually 2 passes encoding.Uncheck DVD compliant and calculate 10000-bitrate of ALL ac3 streams you want.

Also, sometimes reencode Extras which worth it, same method, but usually low bitrate which gives of course a bad quality but that ok for me on bonuses.

Then full Re-authoring in Maestro (easiest), one vts for movie, another one for all other bonuses (separated by chapter points you creates).
Take care of audio/video synch on every ac3, as logo sometimes have no sound and audio start is delayed reagrding the video. Just drag the audio in maestro to modify the start point and/or use numerical value to be more precise. Subtitles can also have the same problem, but it's quite rare.

Just to take care of colors for subpictures masks and for subtitles.

Generate, burn.

Once reencoded and all menu material ready, it usually take me half an hour to author.

Not a direct answer on your question, but a working and fully standalone compatible solution to workaround.
