I get this error in Scenchap

Cannot Add Times with different FPS error in Scenchap 00:00:00;00/30 + 00:00:00;00/25

I have tried this with only 1 MPV file (Which is PAL and I also have scenarist set to PAL) I have even tried without putting in any chapter times but when I click on the create new script I get the same error

Any Ideas ???

This means that ScenChap thinks you are trying to add apples (30fps times) and oranges (25fps times). It might be confused, or it might have a valid complaint. If it's doing it with NO times in the window, it's probably a program bug.

If you can send me the .scp file you are using, as well as any .ifo/.d2f files, I can tell you exactly what's going on.

Also, if you aren't using a .ifo/.d2f -- if you are pasting in times from somewhere else (like ChapterXtractor) -- then I need to know what you are pasting in.

But if it is a program bug then I probably just need the .scp you are using.

Hi,
I tried it with only 1 track in Scenarist and NO times at all but get the same problem. I have enclosed the .scp if you need ifos etc let me know and ill send them as well.

I've added a .txt so i can upload it ;)
Thanks

Bodman...

I have also put it here http://www.btinternet.com/~bodman1/scentest.scp

Thanks for the .scp. I'm able to see the problem here so I should be able to fix it.

Some additions from my side:

I have this problem too when working with PAL DVD-s. With NTSC it is fine.
What I have noticed - times read from IFO by ScenChap (1.22)differs from those, read by ChapterExtractor (which are correct BTW). It might be that ScenChap adjusts times somehow, using NTSC FPS.
I managed to create new cript, using old version of ScenChap (1.11) and pasting times from ChapterExtractor. It worked and DVD was OK. As I mentioned, chapter times correspond to original DVD.
In attachment there is IFO, .SCP and time tables from ScenChap and ChapterExtractor.

Version 1.23 should fix the problems with PAL scripts. There was a bug in the FPS handling. I am submitting the new version to Doom9 now; it should show up shortly.

@screw
I will look at the IFO when it shows up (I think a moderator has to approve attachments). The ScenChap times, as shown on the IFO tab page, should be identical to those that ChapterXtractor shows -- except ChapterXtractor has some bugs with frame numbers. However, I haven't tested it with PAL IFOs (I am in NTSCland) so there may be a bug lurking.
