Are you using not latest program version? I had this problem with 7.4 version. Then in 9.1( if i remember properly ) this bug was fixed. I am using now 9.3 version and "boxes" don't appear anymore

Hello,
can you tell us some examples of what you talking about?

So just open latest DVD2SVCD readme file(sticky):
http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=15623

In the chapter about 1.0.8.1 version you will find:

- Bugfix: I think I got the subtitle bug fixed. There shouldn't be any subs with a white bottom line any more.

Maybe this fix don't work with some kind of movies you have ripped?
What concrete movies have this issue?

i can confirm that even with the latest pre-release beta (the one in the "robshot modification" thread) sometimes, only with specific movies, i got subtitles with bottom or right or bottom-right lines.

Hmm. didn't see this thread before..

I opened one myself here:

It seems like we are talking about the same. The white line bug really is solved in version 108 build 1 but is reintroduced in the latest version..

I ripped the subtitles with 108 and then started converting with 109. When the audio ripping started, i copied the 108 subtitles over the 109..

It's a workaround..

I see that dvd2svcd is back!

Can you shine some light on this topic? Did you use old code for the latest version? Version 1.8 works fine but 1.9 doesnt :(

I need some test material to fix the problem.

Do you have any DVD's from RCV? I get this error on all of them. I can provide a BMP from the 109 rip and from the 108 rip to let you see the difference. Is that enough? Or do you need a chapter from one of the DVD's?

Here's another thread about it:

1. What is RCV ?
2. It would help greatly if you could provide me with a chapter.

I see now that you probably won't have a RCV DVD. It's a dutch company that distributes movies.

http://www.rcv.nl/

I don't know about the guys who have the same problems if they only have these problems with RCV movies.

Oh, even stranger is, the subtitles show correct in the preview window...

I see if i can rip a small chapter. My upload is only 16 KB/s (max) so thats not much.

The smallest chapter (vobs in zip) that i can reproduce the box with is 313 MB. I assume that it's a bit large for 16 KB/s

If you want it, let me know.
