@Phobos
Yes, there is :). You can use Graphedit. And to find the required info, I recommend that you use the "search" function of the forum (with "demux+ogm" for instance), which will take you to the related threads ;).

@iago
i did a search for ogm+demux but i got for answer only THIS tread.
Would you be so nice to point us to the right post or better to give a brief list of steps to follow to obtain out .avi+.ogg+.srt files back?
THANX!!!!

@jurij (and everybody)
Well, with some more effort in serching of course you could reach more results and threads as well ;), but OK, the procedure is as follows:
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Open Graphedit :), then go to:
Graph -> Insert Filters -> DirectShow Filters -> File Source(Async.), click on "Insert Filter" and select the OGM file you want to demux. (Source file is inserted in the graph now.)
Then again, under DirectShow Filters, select Ogg Splitter and click on "Insert Filter". ("Ogg Splitter" is inserted in the graph.)
Under "DirestShow Filters" again, select "Ogg Multiplexer" for audio and click on "Insert Filter". ("Ogg Multiplexer" is inserted in the graph.)
And again under "DirectShow Filters", select "AVI Mux" for your video file and click on "Insert Filter". ("AVI Mux" is inserted in the graph.)
If you have subtitles to demux, you can also select "Subtitle Dest" under "DirectShow Filters" and insert the filter in the same way.
Then, under "DirectShow Filters", select "File writer" for each stream you want to demux (here in the image, it's selected three times: for audio, for video and for subtitles), and write the file names with the extensions.
Then connect the filters accordingly as demonstrated in the image below. And, last but not least, press the green "play" button :) and wait until it's active (until it turns from grey to green) again. (You can carry out this procedure at once for all streams, or can do it separately for each stream one by one.)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
EDIT: in the "Ogg Splitter" filter properties, tick "Always enable all streams" and press "Enable all streams" button, especially for the subtitles demuxing to work properly
I guess it's OK now ;), good luck!

I posted 2 days ago about extracting subtitles from OGM and they pointed me to this link.

iago you did a great job explaining the procedure, basicly what the link above suggests.
1 quick add on. If you have multiple subs or auido tracks you must go into the Ogg Splitter properties and select the Always Enable All Streams to see them in graph edit.

Perhaps this should be made sticky, or added to the FAQs.
Questions about how to use graphedit arise often, but gathering fragmented info from all-over-the-forum can get annoying.
And one has to admit, graphedit is not pretty straight forward to use, or to start with.
--------------------------
Excuse me, but I just feel like repeating a question of mine that no-one answered several weeks ago:
-> For me, graphedit is hardly usable: As soon as right-click a filter box to change filter properties, graphedit simply vanishes to nirvana. No error message box, no error event in XP´s system log. And, most times, the same applies to manually draw filter connections!! <-
Anyone else experienced this, or has heard of something alike? I would really have this sorted out.
System is XP pro, everything else beside of graphedit is flawless and smooth as silk.

Sounds like bad memory for me (or o/c'ed memory). Application behave that way in win2k+ then sometimes.

Cool never knew how to demux subtites...
Now we just have to learn how to demux Chapter files to and the thread will answer to about all what I (and probably everyone else) need to know about demuxing OGM...
P.S.:I guess this ought to be added to F.A.Q. and not be made a sticky note(We don't want to end with 50 sticky notes do we:D??)

The chapters aren't a "file" - the info gets "branded" into the bitstream. No way to "demux" that info. You'd need a parser which requests all the info and writes it into a file again.
Or did you invent a "chapter DSF"? ;)

Sorry,I didn't know.
Well I wouldn't make a chapter DSF even if I where a decent DS programmer(which I'm not).
As for getting the chapter out of an OGM well that's not worth writting a whole program just for the sake of it.
How often would it be used??

Hello everybody,
I'm glad that people found this explanation useful. And in addition to the above explanation, in the Ogg Splitter filter configuration, tick "Always enable all streams" and press "Enable all streams" button, especially for the subtitles demuxing to work properly, as Hiro2k pointed out.

If any of you know, please correct me.
I DO respect the chapters by just writing down the time the chapter is flagged, then when doing the DVD, just flag the chapters as the OGM file had it....
Just my 2¢
Cheers!
