I am using DVD2SVCD 1.0.9b3
every try to rip the StarWars Episode I DVD (german) with subtitles will rise an access violation (addresses varies).

Below you can find the logs of two different tries.
I had no problems with some other DVDs to rip the subs.
The error is only caused with this specific DVD and it is 100% reproduceable.

Any ideas?
Alexander.

someone posted this above...
he said it was because the bitmaps for the subtitles were 4 bit instead of the prescribed 24 bit subtitles required by dvd2svcd.

see here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=32052)

I think my problem is something different from the one you told me.
The access violation rises directly after pressing the convert-button. With any other DVD there is a dialog shown where i can select the subs i want to rip. With this DVD this dialog does not appear, but the error.
I did not fiddle around with SubRip or something similar.

I've got exactly the same problem.
DVD2SVCD also crashes when I try to rip Starwars including subs.
When I turn off the subs, everything works just fine!

this was already metioned a long time ago but here it goes again.
i dont know why but as far as i know, star wars german version and also portuguese version ( i tested both ), in some cases is a real pain in the a.., to backup, i made a work around by ripping it first using smart ripper and only ripping the audio track and the sub track that i realy wanted. it worked for me so i hope it will work for you
