I was wondering if anyone can do me a very big favor, I read the guide dvd9 to dvd5 full copy instructions, which is good by the way, and it seems very easy to follow but I was wondering if anyone can detail it a bit more and use a different movie as an example because I do not have Double Jeopardy and it's hard for me to follow if i do not have that movie, since I am the type of person that has to see and experience everything that you are explaining to me if that makes sense I need a "DVD9 to DVD5 for Dummies" Guide. For example if you can use movies like: How High, Don’t say a word, Friday, Next Friday, Swordfish, “O”, The Mexican, American Pie 1 or 2, John Q, Fast and the Furious just to name a few that I have. You would be helping me out alot. I would appreciate it, I know it's alot to ask but if you can.

Thanks Again

You're waiting for someone to rewrite a guide for you because you do not have the movie used in the guide? Why don't you go rent Double Jeopardy if it is that crucial. If it's that difficult for you to follow directions, this may be the wrong hobby for you. The majority of movies are somewhat unique; therefore, the guides will require you to think. Try experimenting with one of your movies and see if you can do it using the guide.

Good luck.

What is the point to reply if you are not willing to help?

Actually, I was trying to help. Give it a try. There are many people here who will help you if you have problems.

each of the DVD-R guide is based around a different example. That means 7 different titles, one of which (Training day... ifoedit/cce) guide is really similar to Swordfish. With all that material available I think it shouldn't be too hard to adapt it for your specific case. The method is always the same, the differences are really tiny.

I would have to agree with p3distxii in that almost every dvd is unique, especially when you start trying to back up Disney movies. I just did 'Remember the Titans' and it was kind of difficult. As to the movies you listed, some of them contain multiple pgc's, which is something else you have to learn (BTW, you will need ReelDVD or Scenarist to backup multiple pgc movies). Good luck and listen to what people here tell you, they are very knowledgeable on these subjects.

I will try, I have noticed that these movies are multiple pgc's thats why I asked for more Info but I'll play around with it some and see if I understand it better by doing it. Thanks everyone for your thoughts on the subject and prompt replies, I'll post my results sometime this week,

By the way whenever i try to install scenarist i get an error and says something about unable to start service and then I reboot and then I click on the program and then it says something like the parallel port not connected unable to run program. (something to that effect) Is there a special way you have to install this program? Or could it be corrupt?

Hmmm.. Did you install the nice dongle they gave you for your parallel port when you gave them your $38,000 check for the program? :)

Now I have ripped the entire movie (How High) onto my HD. The DVD has 5 VTS sets the are bigger than 100 mgs which I was told by someone that I should reduce the size of these and leave the rest as they are. I then ripped each pgc's (the ones i need to reduce in size) in it's own directory using DVD Decrypter.

Tell me if I am wrong. I selected all PGC's that are longer than 1 minute and just straight decrypted to the HD and the PGC's under 1 minute I selected Stream Processing and selected each video and audio file and selected demux and the subtitle ones, if any, I selected Direct Copy. Now is that correct or was I supposed to do it the other way around?
