Is it somehow possible to re-create a SVCD ?? I have a SVCD created with Nero, but it causes problems with my software player. SVCD's built with vcdxbuild doesn't give me any problems, but how do I re-create the SVCD with vcdxbuild when I only have the SVCD created with Nero ?

Go into the mpeg2 dir on your SVCD and copy the mpg file to your hard drive.
You will probably have to demultiplex (TMPGenc/file/mpeg tools/simple demultiplex) and remultiplex (TMPGenc/file/mpeg tools/simple multiplex) as a SVCD.
Just author as normal. If your original SVCD had any menu's or chapter points those will have to be re-authored.

Hi!
Tried it... TPMGEnc gives me an error: "Illegal MPEG Video stream."

You can try using vcdxrip (from the vcdimager package) - it will extract all items of an SVCD plus create an XML file suitable for re-authoring in vcdimager. VCDEasy has a vcdxrip option in the tools section.

That seemed to do the job.... Now I can see in DVD2AVI, that the source is NTSC - I'd like to convert it to PAL. Anyone know if I can re-process the file in DVD2SVCD to do this, or can it be done in TMPGEnc or any onf the other support-programs used by DVD2SVCD ?
