Don't know if I was the only one to catch this, but the home page list of updated apps discussed aviutil89d under 8/16. Unfortunately the english patch is for version 89b. I couldn't get 89d to load and recognize the english patch.

The english file should be included yet (enu098b.aul)

change or create "aviutl.ini" to add this

This way should be easy.
Does anyone know if this program works with YUY2 or RGB?
And why the lastest versions refuse to load avisynth scripts?

Aviutl89d automatically adds the lines for the english add in (same as you are suggesting), but will only come up with unreadable characters for menu items.

that's true for my part as well - so, I can confirm this really strange behaviour...
